Midtown

Funky, fun and fabulous – Midtown is where Reno’s heart beats. Located south of downtown along the Virginia Street corridor, Midtown is an eclectic collection of retail shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants surrounded by residential neighborhoods in varying stages of transition. Older bungalow and cottage style homes, mid-century apartment complexes with a fresh vibe and newer infill projects with a modern edge – it is truly an energized area with a vibrant and eclectic landscape offering a highly walkable urban lifestyle.

Midtown is home to many events throughout the year, including the annual Midtown Art Walk and numerous live music events and themed pub crawls. The neighborhood is presently undergoing an $87 million renovation along its main corridor on South Virginia Street, which is scheduled to be finished shortly.

Higher density is characteristic of the area as homes are generally on city-sized lots, with pocket developments of tiny homes interspersed, as well as multi-family and mixed-use, live-work spaces.
